Steps to Follow:

Immediate Action:
- As soon as you notice your bike is missing, try to determine if it was misplaced or borrowed by someone you know.
- Check common areas and bike racks around the property.

Gather Information:
- Note the make, model, color, and any unique identifying features of your bike.
- Locate any photos of your bike, if available.
- Find the bike's serial number (usually found on the frame).
- Determine the last known location and time you saw the bike.

Contact Law Enforcement:
- Report the theft to the local police department.
- Provide them with the same detailed information you gave to property management.
- Obtain a copy of the police report or at least the report number for your records.

Report to Block Management:
- Contact the office as soon as possible after you recieve the report.
- Provide with a detailed description of the bike and any identifying information.
- Include your contact information for follow-up.

Notify Your Insurance Company:
- If your bike is covered under your renters or home insurance policy, notify your insurance company.
- Provide them with the police report and any other required documentation.

Prevention Measures:

- Register your bike with a national bike registry for easier recovery if stolen.
- Use a high-quality lock and secure your bike to a fixed object.

Additional Notes:
- Block management will review security footage, if available and within reason.
- Block Management will not review footage unless a police report is filed with accurate timeframes to view.
- Footage is not available if reported after 30 days.
