What if my package is missing, lost or stolen?

Immediate Actions to Take:
1. Check Delivery Status: Before assuming your package is lost, check the tracking information provided by the courier. Sometimes packages are marked as delivered before they are physically dropped off.
2. Inspect Surrounding Areas: Occasionally, couriers may place packages in alternative locations for safety, like behind planters, under benches, or with a neighbor.
3. Contact the Delivery Service: Reach out to the courier or delivery service (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL) to confirm the delivery details. They may provide information on where the package was left or if there were any issues during delivery.
4. File a Police Report: If you believe your package has been stolen, it's essential to report the theft to local law enforcement.
5. Contact the Seller: If the package is not found, reach out to the seller or retailer. Many companies have policies in place for lost or stolen packages and might offer a replacement or refund.

Preventative Measures:
1. Schedule Deliveries: Whenever possible, schedule your deliveries for times you will be home.
2. Use Delivery Notifications: Most delivery services offer real-time tracking and notifications upon delivery.
3. Consider Alternate Addresses: If you're frequently not at home during typical delivery hours, consider having packages delivered to your workplace or a trusted friend's address.
4. Use Package Lockers or Services: Explore options like Amazon Locker or other local package receiving services that securely hold your deliveries until you can pick them up.
5. Insure Valuable Packages: If you're expecting a high-value item, consider opting for insurance coverage during the shipping process.
